What’s in Our Camera Bag?

The number one question we have always gotten as photographers is “what kind of gear do you use?”

Well, here’s a quick peek at what’s in our travel camera bag! Light and versatile is the name of the game when traveling as a photographer, and these tried and true favorites have been in our bag for years.

Canon 5D mkIV – These are our workhorses. We have had every version of the 5D series in our bags at some point. They have always had fantastic colors and overall image quality, but the Mark IV has impeccable focusing ability and great video quality as well! We love them and haven’t felt the need to upgrade since purchasing them.

Canon 135mm 2.0L lens – One of the sharpest telephoto lenses that can double as a longer-range portrait lens!

Canon 50mm 1.2L lens – Airika’s favorite lens – an awesome all around lens for portraits and everyday life

Canon 16-35mm 2.8L lens – Gerald’s favorite lens for landscapes and action shots.

Slingshot Camera bag by Lowepro – this is our everyday bag for hiking or easily throwing the camera in the car for the day. It holds a camera with lens attached, an additional lens, extra batteries and memory cards, and a flash or additional lens in the top if we need it.

Phone GorillaPod – We love this easy to use phone tripod for quick family photos and even selfies…because we all know that the best camera is the one you have with you!

GoPro Hero 9 Black – These action cameras area lot of fun, and extremely capable no matter the conditions. Up to this point we are still learning how to use them but hopefully we will put out some videos shot on them soon!

GoPro Accessories – Now since I was new to the GoPro world and wasn’t entirely sure how I was going to be using it, I also picked up an accessory kit that came with a little of everything. It was actually pretty affordable considering how much stuff came with it. I could easily get a couple more cameras and not need another accessory kit. You will however, want more batteries!
